"My parents must be the opposite of yours then. They hate the fact that I dance now." Kate thought about Ray's second question for a minute. What was the difference between the pros and crews? She thought some more before answering. "The only difference really is that the crews dance in the streets and the pros have a huge academy and all that jazz. Plus, most crews dance more freestyle than most pros do" She shrugged at the end of the answer she provided. Not much that she could say about the pros. She spent most her life with the crews and rarely ran into any pros or anything like that. She watched Ray for a trace of an answer but got nothing. "I am probably not the most reasonable person you could ask about this. I spend most my tie on the streets and don't really know all that much about pros. You may have some more luck asking some other people unless my answer did answer yours" She said sincerely. It was true, she wasn't all into that pros vs. crews stuff most the street people were into. She was in it for the dancing.

"Yeah. I guess thats all i wanted to know. it's just that i heard a lot of things walking around town. I guess the crews and the pros don't get along. I think it is really messed up, they probably don't even know each other. Thats why I'm having a hard time deciding where to join. I don't want to get involved in all that." Joe replied. She didn't get the answer she wanted but at least she learned that this girl didn't seem to have any issues with professionals. At least non that she new of yet. "I wish i had your parents, then i wouldn't be involved in dancing at all." She said smiling at Kate and teasing her a little. but she really did wish her parents weren't so demanding and controlling. She took a chocolate bar out of her pant pocket. She grinned slyly at the girl knowing exactly the reaction she would probably get. " Yeah.....I eat a lot. If it weren't for dancing i would probably 300 pounds. Thats one good thing about it."

"Yah some of the people I've talked to do truly hate the pros. Why? I do not know. I've never had a reason to hate them so I don't. Simple as that" She replied truthfully. Kate thought back to some of her other friends, the ones of whom couldn't stand that pros. Why was it they hated them? She wanted to know. Ray had gotten her curious about it now. She would have to ask someone why they thought that way. That's what she'd do. Ask them. She listened to Ray comment about having her parents and almost laughed "My parents are far from normal let me assure you that much" She said with a smile. It was true though. She didn't think much of her parents and she bet her parents didn't either. Lately they had spent more and more time away from each other and it was working out for Kate. As Ray pulled out a chocolate bar and commented on it Kate smiled "Very true, dancing keeps you fit. and anyways, who doesn't eat a lot? Ok I can name some people but still" She chuckled. She was always mixing her words up. "Well I should probably be going. I have to get home to babysit" Ha, what a joke. She never babysat anymore. Never. But she did have to go and she wanted to find out more information about the pros. Curiosity had the better of her now. "See you 'round" She said as she got up and went to retrieve her radio.

"Wait! " Joe called and went after Kate. Joe figured she should tell the girl the truth before she found out from somebody else. The girl like her didn't like this whole crew vs pro thing. "I haven't been completely honest with you. I to was curious about the differences between the pros and crews. I am new to this town that much is true but I am also a professional. I lied because every crew seems to hate us and i didn't want to get involve in some kind of fight. My name is not Ray, though people do often call me that. My real name is Joe Riley." Joe said explaining who she was and why she had lied. She pulled back her hood reveling her face more. Joe's face was almost flawless except for a few small freckles that could barley be seen. Joe didn't wear make up, she had no need for it. Joe waited for Kate's reaction, hoping that she didn't make a mistake telling her the truth.

Kate stopped and turned around when the girl called for her. Weird. She turned to look at her and wait to see what she had to say. As this girl spoke Kate couldn't believe it. Everything she had said was a lie while Kate had been truthful. It was a good thing she didn't really know anything about the crews and pros that could have caused something like a friend of hers may know. She had been used for sole use of information. Kate just stood there. Not sure what to do she turned around and walked over to her radio silently. She knelt down and took the CD out. Placing the CD in the case she sighed. "At least I didn't tell you anything you could have used" She mumbled, not sure if Ray or Joe or whatever her name was had heard her. She pulled lifted her radio up off the ground and pulled her sweatshirt out from under it. She placed the radio back down and slid the sweatshirt over her head. On the front was Automatic Response, the name of her crew. She couldn't remember how she'd got the sweatshirt but it was nifty and it was her favorite one. "She you 'round" She said as she picked up the CD and radio and turned to leave.

Joe watched Kate go. The girl sounded upset. It seemed that it was a mistake to say anything. But it wouldn't be fair just to keep talking to the girl when she had no intention but to get information. Joe came clean for both of their sakes. But She probably made this girl start to hate her to. Joe sighed "It is not what you think, i mean i couldn't tell you who i was just in case you were like the rest." Joe somewhat mumbled. She sat down and started stretching trying to avoid the girls eyes. Joe always seemed to have a knack for hurting people even when she didn't intend to. The way she talked and the way she held back a lot of things. Was she using the girl? It felt so wrong and ugly. Joe tried to reason to herself that she only wanted to be certain that it was ok to talk to this girl, and find out a it about the crews. She just wanted information. Being curious wasn't bad, right?
